We always try to consider quality, comfort, style & quality service when producing products for our customers. With our beanbag range, the EPS filling will take time to settle from use. Depending on use, this can take up to a number of weeks.
Once they have settled into a natural position, you will notice the bag becomes comfier and you will be able to find the perfect positions for use with ease.
Sometimes it is necessary to slightly overfill fill the bag in production and it can feel quite rigid when you first use it. This is to ensure longevity of the beanbag (So it will not feel under filled after a short time). Rest assured that after approx. 2-4 weeks the EPS filling inside will compress, making the bag less rigid and more comfortable to sit in.
If you wish to make the bag more comfortable right away, here’s a few handy steps to get you there!
Note: You will need to take the bag to an area where cleaning up after is easy. We would advise using a dry bathtub with the stopper in if possible. You can easily contain any beans that fly loose once the bag has been opened.
1. Get a plastic jug for scooping the beans out and a plastic bag to contain the beans.
2. Find the zip on the bag. There will generally be 2 zips underneath the base of the bag; an inner & outer.
3. Place the bag down with the zip facing up towards you. Open the zip and be aware, there can be some additional beans from the filling process contained between the inner & outer zips.
4. Open the inner zip if there is one. Place the jug inside the bag and scoop out some of the beans and carefully pour them into the plastic bag.
5. If you are using a bathtub, any spilled beans will be easily contained to clean up after.
6. Continue this process until you feel the amount of beans in the bag has been sufficiently reduced to make it more comfortable.
7. Close the outer zip of your beanbag, place it on the floor and sit in it to see if you have removed enough beans. If not, repeat the previous steps.
8. Once you are happy with the amount of filling removed, ensure you have closed the inner zip, shake the bag down for any excess beans that may have stuck to the bag & close the outer zip.
